Atrium Closed Friday May 19th due to Dayton Hamvention

May 19th – 21st, 2017 will mark the movement of the Hamvention from Dayton’s Hara Arena to the Greene County Fairgrounds.  This event is billed as the “World’s largest amateur radio gathering” This event is anticipated to bring in approximately 25,000 people to the area.  The main attraction will be at the Greene County Fairgrounds where besides guests, there will be 500 indoor, and 2500 outdoor vendors.  To move traffic to and from the Fairgrounds they are planning several one way street entrances and exits.

Given the unknown impact on transportation in the area of the facilities located across from the Fairgrounds, GCBDD plans to join Xenia Schools and St. Brigid and close the Atrium on Friday May 19th.

Please note this only impacts the Atrium.  Greene Inc. will follow Plan A as they will have contractual obligation to process laundry and document destruction.

All Board functions, other than the Atrium, will be open as usual.
